Warbo Gruppen and Sunday Power have collaborated on the installation of photovoltaic systems in Røyken Næringspark. It provides green electricity to tenant Certex, and helps building owners realize their clear green goals.
Certex, a leading supplier of wire ropes and lifting equipment in Norway, is a tenant in the building in Johan Follestad Road. With the new rooftop solar system, they now get locally produced, green electricity at a lower than market price.
“We at Certex Norway have a vision to be the company that sets the standard for a more sustainable future. It obliges, and we are systematically working towards our long-term climate goals,” says Per Olav Skustad, CFO of Certex Norway. “The solar installation that gives us green electricity for our building is an important contribution,” he adds.
A more future-oriented building
Warbo Gruppen is a real estate and investment company established in 1984. With their new solar installation with an estimated climate savings of over 97 tons of CO2 per year, they get a more forward-looking building in Røyken commercial park.
“A rooftop solar installation is an important project to help us make the building more sustainable. It is important for both tenants, for us as owners and not least for the environment, as well as it allows us to contribute to increased production of renewable energy, which is clearly important for society,” says Jan-Erik Warbo.
Henriette Warbo, general manager of Warbo Gruppen, says the solar installation helps them as building owners secure a new source of income from the roof, as well as being able to offer tenants cost-effective, sustainable electricity. She adds that they chose Sunday Power based on the collaborative model and quality, as well as Sunday Power emerging as a serious supplier.
Produces solar power without investment
Through its Solar as a service solution, Sunday Power owns and operates the solar plant, and sells the electricity to Certex.
“It has been a pleasure to work with Warbo and Certex because of their professionalism and focus on sustainability. Together we have realized their clear green goal with a solar installation in a profitable way for all parties,” says Rikard af Ekenstam, CCO of Sunday Power.

Facts about the photovoltaic system:
Installed power: 288 kWp
Estimated output: Over 230,000 kWt
Climate savings: Over 97 tonnes of CO2/year
