“Sunday Power has ambitions to take the number one position in our market in Norway and Europe, which is why we continue to strengthen the team with hungry and skilled key employees. Adrian checked all the boxes of what we were looking for in a CFO - he has a strong head of finance, a good strategic outlook, is specialized towards renewables and solar and has the drive and the relational qualities we were looking for,” says the general manager of Sunday Power, Jonas Ibsen Brynildsrud.

Adrian Bergem comes from the position of equity analyst at Arctic Securities, where he has covered the renewables sector with a focus on solar, battery and hydrogen. He holds a master's degree in finance from NHH and started his career in the graduate program at Nordea as an analyst in Nordea Markets, and has since also worked in Management Consulting in Accenture before joining Arctic. Bergem is now very much looking forward to being part of Sunday Power.

Sunday Power invests in photovoltaic systems and software in commercial buildings, and aims to make solar cells simple and profitable for both building owners and tenants. Since its launch in autumn, the company has been in great demand, and they have already managed to get players such as Bulk, Eiendomsspar, Ticon, GG Gruppen and Heldal Eiendom on the customer list.

“I'm really looking forward to embarking on this journey with the rest of the team. Solar power is probably going to play the biggest role in the green shift, and now with sky-high electricity prices and an increased focus on energy security there is little doubt that the market is going to have strong tailwinds in the years ahead. Building roofs on commercial buildings with solar cells is one of the fastest and smartest ways to build out renewable power, without having to make major upgrades to the grid or occupy precious lands. With the market as the backdrop and Sunday's strong team, elegant business model and technology, I am convinced that we have a very good starting point for success,” says Bergem.

He will start in the role of CFO over the summer.

Previously, Sunday Power has hired the CTO who came from the Kjell Inge Røkke company Cognite. Brynilsrud says that the company will make more hires in the future.

“It's no secret that we recruit for several positions a day, and we will both announce new employees and hire new positions in the coming time. We are constantly looking for clever people who want to help accelerate the green shift.
